As a black-owned blog, we wanted to continue the thread by educating our readers on more from the black community.

As we mentioned in our previous blog post, support for change, and equality comes in many forms.


So here's a list of incredible black-owned businesses spanning many industries that you may or may not be aware of!


Dana Jackson takes an all-natural approach to beauty and wellness due to her diagnosis with lupus in 2011. Because of certain symptoms of the disease, her products have completely natural ingredients and can be found at Credo Beauty, as well as on her own site.


Trinity Mouzon Wofford launched Golde with the intention of making the wellness space more accessible. Golde is known for the chlorophyll face masks and turmeric latte blends.


A natural skincare line derived from an intentional blend of essential oils powered by research and skin education. Created in 2019 by Atlanta native Ashley Alexander.


Known as one of the best makeup artists in the industry, Pat makes some of the most luxurious makeup products which can be seen on her glowing Instagram page


Est. in 2016, Brushes by Nichole is a brand dedicated to providing the highest quality tools for every makeup lover's needs. With designs created by makeup artists for makeup artists, you will always find the latest cutting edge makeup tools and products on her site.


Named after Harriet Tubman, this bookstore in Philadelphia specializes in carrying books by female authors.


Mahogany Books started as an online bookstore a decade ago, specializing in books “written for, by, or about people of the African Diaspora.” They opened a storefront in Washington, D.C., in 2017.


A swimsuit line founded by former model Chantel Davis, Castamira’s bathing suits are designed to support women with curves.


Riot Swim sells the bathing suits that are trending. Designed by Monti Landers, the line consists of minimalist swimsuits in a range of colors.

Founded in 2020, Band It Fitness is a fitness community that seeks to help others grow in self-love through finding the perfect tools of health and fitness for each individual. As an ISSA-certified fitness professional, owner Phylicia Babb helps her clients set realistic goals to transform their health and life for the better.


A faith-based & Caribbean inspired mind, body, and soul health & wellness program. Founded By A'keitha Carey as a means to address identity, culture, and citizenship.


Jamika Danielle offers content photography and personal or company-wide branding. She uses the power of storytelling to produce polished and organic imagery that integrates content and experiences that consumers want to participate and share in.
