What You Need To Know About Atlanta Botanical Garden Lights
Updated: Feb 15
The city of Atlanta never ceases to amaze. While in many respects, Atlanta has made news for carrying on like COVID doesn't exist, there are so many magical moments.
Some of which are experienced at the Atlanta Botanical Garden Lights!
Starting from November, the light show happens every year for about two months and is the highlight of the season.
Here's what you need to know!
While tickets are on the more expensive side, the gardens do a good job of making the visit affordable. On the website, there is a calendar that gives a nice listing of value, regular, and peak days so anyone can find pricing that works for them.
There is also a differentiation of Flex Tix, General, Premium, and Premium Plus admission rates for tose looking to save some coins. These tiers range from $24.00 - $119.00
Flex Tix allows exchanges to be made for new visit dates due to bad weather or unforeseen circumstances. Basically a backup plan!
General Admission tickets are only valid for the date and time according to each purchase.
Premium tickets come with one drink ticket and hologram glasses.
Premium Plus tickets are more expensive but they allow a date and entrance time change if there is inclement weather or variance in schedule. There are also additional perks like cloth masks, hologram glasses, a drink ticket, and express entry.
This year's theme was Alice and wonderland where the Red Queen joined the White Rabbit and Phoenix in a "glowing cast of larger-than-life sculptures twinkling with holiday cheer".
As guests trail through the gardens, each section adds to the beautiful scenes. Suddenly, after passing a festive bar, a few tunnels of lights, and toy-train in motion... visitors are surrounded by a forest of lights.
By far, this is the most incredible experience in the garden. Nature’s Wonders... the world’s largest choreographed curtain of light and sound. It is too surreal to put in words, so this is one we advise all readers to experience for themselves!
Unfortunately, we didn't bring our camera so all pictures were taken via phone and didn't do justice!
While the light show ends on January 16th, we truly hope when they begin again, you will find yourself at the gardens!
***This night out is perfect for families, date nights, and friends.
