People always say that books enhance your knowledge. It's the one thing that will constantly improve your vocabulary without putting in a whole lot of effort.
With a new month coming up, it's finally time to share 5 must-reads that will not only enhance your vocab but also improve your state of well being and your life.
Let's Dive In!
For the entrepreneur or aspiring entrepreneur, we recommend reading the E-Myth Revisited:Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What to Do About It by Michael Gerber- a long time small business consultant who lets you know exactly what you're doing wrong in business and what you need to do to be better at it and make more money.
Sounds great doesn't it? Well outside of the information, the book is actually an easy read and also tells the story of a small bakery owner while allowing you to download lots of information pertinent to becoming the best businesswoman you can be.
For the woman who's currently in a funk and can't seem to lift her head up, You are a BadA**: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero needs to be in your shopping cart now! This book was gifted to us by an amazing friend and by the time we finished reading, we were inspired and incredibly happy with an entirely new outlook on life and the situations around us. It's a super funny and relatable how-to- guide for identifying and changing self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors that stop you from getting what you want out of life. If that doesn't motivate you, we don't know what will!
While you're busy making your life what you want, you should also check out Lisa Nichols' and Janet Switzers' book Abundance Now: Amplify Your Life & Achieve Prosperity Today- which we've actually just picked up again (even though it's been on the bookshelf for months now). The book basically shares Lisa's life story and those of others who went from the "scarcity defeatist mindset" to abundance and success. Each chapter is outlined with actionable steps that everyone can take to create their very best career, relationships, self, and finances.
Last but not least, your reading list won't be complete without a book about relationships. For this, we suggest Why Talking Is Not Enough: Eight Loving Actions That Will Transform Your Marriage.
No, you don't have to be married to read this book because everything the author, Susan Page, writes about is pertinent to singles and unmarried couples as well. Throughout the book, she discusses subtle relationship strategies centered on being whole while looking at your own actions and why things bother you in order to make positive changes within yourself to better your relationships. We won't give any much needed lessons away, so if you're interested in transforming your relationship with yourself and your partner, you'll have to read the book to find out how to do it!
And that wraps up our very first book list!
